Stern is pleased to welcome Paul Karrlsson-Willis to the firm. He will serve as Senior Managing Director, Head of Institutional Equity Trading and is based out of the New York office.

Paul is a dynamic financial services executive with over three decades of experience leading and scaling businesses, with a clear focus on the intersection of finance and community impact.

With a career that includes 25 years in leadership roles at Fidelity, Paul has a proven track record of building successful businesses from the ground up, from international trading to institutional sales. His extensive experience extends to other senior leadership positions at prominent firms such as StoneX, INTL FC Stone Financial, and Cabrera Capital.

Paul is recognized for his deep expertise in operational excellence, revenue growth, and opening new markets. His strategic vision and hands-on leadership have consistently driven innovation and business success across complex financial ecosystems.

A passionate advocate for leveraging finance as a force for good, Paul believes that profitability and positive social impact are not mutually exclusive—but mutually reinforcing. He actively supports this philosophy through leadership and service in several nonprofit organizations, including the Commission for Disability Employment, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Special Olympics.
