Stern SMS Texting Privacy Policy

At Stern Brothers & Co (Stern), we value your privacy and make every effort to respect your wishes and personal information. In line with this commitment, we have established this policy for the use of SMS conversational texting by staff, clients and vendors.

Stern texting is limited to conversational texting only, to and from, Stern-issued phone numbers. Stern employees may not text with staff, clients or vendors from personal, non-firm provided, phone numbers.

The Firm DOES NOT use, or allow SMS text messaging for solicitations or promotions.

No orders for any financial instruments may be accepted via text.

Stern DOES NOT share phone numbers with any third-party vendors or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Collection of Phone Numbers

We collect your phone number(s) only when you voluntarily provide them to us, for example, during inquiries to staff via text, or when you sign up to participate in SMS conversational texting with staff. You can opt in to receive SMS conversational text messages from Stern Brothers staff by initiating a conversation via texting a staff member directly on their business line or by completing the Opt-In form here.

Use of Phone Numbers for SMS Conversational Text Messaging

Your phone numbers are used to facilitate quick and easy conversations, meeting updates, etc. between you and Stern staff. These text messages may relate to our services, or any updates that individual staff members think may impact you. SMS text messaging charges may be applied by your carrier. Stern DOES NOT share phone numbers with any third-party vendors or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Opting Out of SMS Conversational Text Messaging

If at any time you wish to stop receiving SMS conversational text messages from our staff, you can opt out by:

Please note that the opt-out process may take up to 10 business days to become effective. During this period, you may still receive SMS conversational text messages from individual staff you have texted with in the past.
